Although it only lasted a week, exploring the different neighbourhoods in New York City and meeting its people was a memorable experience. I stumbled upon the infamous 5th avenue, however it was going to be a bit of a different encounter than I initially though it to be. The street was full of men in black uniforms, the American flag was everywhere to be seen, although this wasn't new. An officer of the firefighter department had lost his life in battle.
